Release: July 2026
This update brings a broad set of improvements across clinical examinations, dispensing, reports and accounting, patient recalls, and text messaging — plus a number of stability fixes and a new set of step-by-step user guides. Below is a plain-language summary of what has changed. No action is required on your side unless noted; new features that could change your day-to-day workflow are switched off by default and can be enabled on request.
Patients & Clinical
- Default optometrist is now pre-filled on new clinical records, saving a step on every capture.
- Default payment terms are now applied automatically on patient and clinical records.
- The patient / branch address now appears on clinical examination invoices.
- The fitting-details window has been fixed and now opens correctly.
- Cylinder axis now displays as a whole number (for example 90 instead of 5.00), both on screen and in edit mode.
- The Subjective refraction now pulls straight through to a new Final RX line — no manual save needed to bring the values across.
- Deleting a Final RX line now also removes its linked dispensing copy, so nothing is left behind.
- The dispensing pricelist can now be chosen directly on the Dispensing Sheet.
- The appointment tag prompt now appears inline instead of causing the screen to hang.
- Problematic patients are highlighted reliably again in the patient list.
Reports & Accounting
- New report — Stock Sold by Supplier (Days to Sell): see, per supplier, how quickly stock is selling.
- Inventory stock pricing has been corrected.
Patient Recall
- A patient is now automatically marked as returned (Won) on their recall as soon as their latest examination date is recorded — no manual follow-up needed to close the loop.
The full automated recall journey remains optional and switched off by default. Let us know if you'd like it enabled for your practice.
Text Messages (SMS)
- Fixed an issue where messages to an invalid number could be retried in a loop, producing repeated send failures. Such messages are now stopped cleanly.
Reliability & Housekeeping
- System pricelists created during synchronisation are now active and visible immediately, instead of being created hidden.
- Fixed an issue where opening certain in-app dropdown menus could produce an error. The "What's New" pop-up that caused it has been removed; you'll continue to receive update news through notes like this one.
Enterprise Edition Only
The following apply to practices on the Enterprise edition of the accounting reports.
- Collection notes on aged reports: the Aged Receivable and Aged Payable reports now include an editable Collection Note column and an Account Number column, so follow-up notes and reference numbers live right on the report.
- Bank details on statements: customer and partner statements now print your designated bank account and letterhead in the header.
- Mini Income Statement: expense groupings have been corrected so figures fall into the right categories.
- Correct reporting period: reports set to "This Year" now default to the current financial year instead of an empty future period.
- Trial Balance access fixed: an "access error" that could appear when opening the Trial Balance in multi-company setups has been resolved.
New User Guides
A set of clear, step-by-step guides is now available on request, covering:
- Clinical examinations, lab jobs, daily sessions, and reports in the practice system.
- The patient recall journey.
- Accounting how-tos: adding a bank journal, importing budgets, and reconciling the Aged Receivable report against the Trial Balance.
